Meet Megan
Megan Dillow is the owner of Texas Myofunctional Therapy. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist and Orofacial Myologist. Megan received her Bachelor’s degree from Texas Woman’s University in 2012 and completed postgraduate training in Myofunctional Therapy through Airway Health Solutions in 2024.
As a dental hygienist, Megan has always enjoyed educating patients about their oral health. While she enjoyed the clinical side of dentistry, patient education was her true passion.
In 2016, Megan had her first child. At a young age, she began noticing signs that he was having difficulties with sleep and breathing. Like many parents, she wanted to understand what was contributing to these concerns and how she could best support him. However, providers gave limited answers like simply wait to see if he would outgrow them.
A few years later, Megan attended a course focused on children’s airways, and it opened her eyes to the connection between breathing, oral function, and overall development. This inspired her to pursue additional education in myofunctional therapy.
Today, Megan is passionate about helping children and adults better understand their oral function and the role that breathing, tongue posture, lip posture, and swallowing can play in everyday life. Through individualized myofunctional therapy, she works with each patient to develop greater awareness and more functional patterns that support their individual needs and goals.
Megan’s goal is to provide education, guidance, and individualized care while helping patients and families better understand their options and feel empowered in their care.
